| Heres a new whip I got from Einar today. It is SUPER NICE with a 12 inch handle and a few coats of Shelac! This whip is a hand crafted American style Bullwhip, the whip is 16 feet long measured from the start of the handle to the end of the braid. This whip is moderately heavy with the weight being carried well down the thong the whip is also balanced in the best American tradition. This whip is constructed using Australian methods meaning that the whip has 2 plaited (braided) bellies. The first belly is a 6 plait around a tapered leather core this is followed by another 8 plait belly over the first and then a 12 plait overlay encircling both bellies this construction method creates the highest density and a very fluid action. The whip is constructed from 100 % vegetable tanned latigo cowhide. The reason I use vegetable tanned latigo is because it is in my opinion the best tanning process for cowhide and produces the strongest and most durable cowhide lace this will provide the longest useful life of the whip under heavy use conditions. | Here is an 8 Plait, 10 foot RUBBER Bullwhip Arturo made for me. I own sets of these in 4,5,6,8,10 foot lengths and every one cracks like a cannon. Yes I said rubber, Do you live in a wet humid area? The last thing you want to do is get one of your leather whips wet. THESE WHIPS DON'T CARE. They can be used in wet conditions and don't need to be broke in. , Some whips crack better doing certain cracks but these work good for every type of crack. I use these whips the most often, they are my favorite all around whips. |
